Fragrance Allergies

Allergens are everywhere!! Please be respectful of persons in the congregation with fragrance allergies and strive to limit the amount of fragrances you bring into the sanctuary. Fragrances can be found in lotions, perfumes, hand sanitizers, shampoos, and many other items. Persons extremely sensitive to fragrances may want to consider sitting near the front or in the sections just to the left or right to try to prevent an allergic reaction.

Prayer Line

UUMC has an electronic prayer line.  Persons wanting to share a prayer request or praise report can send a message to  You can also send a message to the same email address with the subject notation “ADD ME” if you would like to receive prayer line messages. THIS IS A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS!! MAKE SURE TO ADD IT TO YOUR CONTACTS TO CONTINUE RECEIVING MESSAGES FROM THE PRAYER LINE.

Go Electronic

It is always a good time to go electronic. Just think, you can stay informed and financially contribute wherever your travels or schedule may lead you.

-       Get your weekly bulletin announcements on Thursday and be ahead of the game. All you have to do is send an email to You will also receive important reminders and be informed of church cancellations or delays.

-       Give electronically through your bank or by using Vanco. It is as simple as 1, 2, 3. Step 1 – Go to your banking website. Step 2 – Sign up for bill pay. Step 3 – Add University United Methodist Church as a payee (no fees apply). Another option is to use the Vanco bill pay by going to the church’s website ( and clicking the “donate online” button on the home page. (Vanco charges a nominal service fee.)

UUMC Recycling

We have a new paper recycling company, Hanna Paper Retriever Company. You can still use the yellow and green recycle bin in the parking lot for ALL paper recycling, including cardboard, poster board, etc. Cardboard boxes must be broken down before putting them in the bin. Please recycle at UUMC and encourage others to do so, as we do our part to reduce our carbon footprint and help the environment.
